FAQs
What is the attire?
Our wedding day will be a day of celebrating and honoring love. So, please wear an elegant outfit that encourages a sense of self-love for you. For example: a stunning dress, a striking suit, or a sharp tuxedo.
If you’re feeling lost, think about asking yourself these questions when considering your choice of attire: Do I feel confident, comfortable, and celebrated? Do I feel authentically myself?
Bonus points if your first instinct when passing a mirror in your selected fit is to wonder, “now who is that handsome devil?!”
What is the transportation situation?
If you plan on driving, there is plenty of parking available next to the chapel (see details here).
If you’re staying at The Lodge or The Inn within the Presidio, the venue is just a short walk away. It’s mostly flat, though there’s a slight incline to reach the chapel.
If you’re staying elsewhere in San Francisco, Lyfts and Ubers are abundantly available.
What will the weather be like?
San Francisco averages a high of 68 and a low of 55 degrees in August. Expect temperatures to be mild and pleasant during the day, though the evening will be a bit cooler if the fog rolls in. The post-ceremony cocktail reception will take place outdoors (on the front patio of the Golden Gate Club), but the ceremony, dinner, and dancing will all be indoors.
What time should we arrive for the ceremony at the Presidio Chapel?
Please plan to arrive at 4pm sharp, so that you may leisurely mingle and find your seat. The ceremony procession will begin promptly at 4:30pm PT.

Things
to do
-
There are some gorgeous hiking, biking, and walking trails, and plenty of scenic overlooks. A few of our favorite spots are: the Presidio Tunnel Tops park, Crissy Field Beach, the Bay Area Ridge Trail, the Presidio Wall Playground, Baker Beach, Lovers Lane (how apt!), and Inspiration Point.
-
The Marin Headlands just across the bridge are full of great hiking and biking trails, as well as beautiful beaches. We love: Tennessee Valley, the Coastal Trail (out and back to Point Bonita lighthouse), and Rodeo Beach. If you’d like to drive a bit further North, you’ll find more gorgeous views at Mt Tamalpais and Stinson Beach – as well as great shopping and restaurants in Sausalito or Tiburon.
-
You could spend several hours enjoying the DeYoung or the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park, the Exploratorium along the Embarcadero, or the MoMa near Union Square.
For a quicker (but still very cool!) museum experience, check out the Cable Car Museum in Nob Hill. From there, you can catch either the Powell–Mason or Powell–Hyde lines for a ride on the cable car to really bring your museum experience to life!
